The annual Personal Finance Awards will be held on Tuesday 3 November. Attendance is by invitation only and subject to availability. If you wish to express your interest to attend, you can do so on the registration form.

Attendance Fees 

PFS members – please click on "Book Now" above and complete the “Member” registration. You will need to login and use your member PIN.

EFPA members – attendance for the members of the EFPA and other organisations is free. Please click on "Book Now" above and complete the “Non-member” registration.

Non-members – attendance for non-members is free. Please click on "Book Now" above and complete the “Non-member” registration.


CPD Hours

CPD hours are to be finalised but are expected to be 10 hours 45 minutes over the two days:

  • Tuesday 3 November: 5 hours 5 minutes
  • Wednesday 4 November: 5 hours 40 minutes

We have an allocation of bedrooms on hold at a number of 4 and 3-star hotels within walking distance of the NEC Birmingham. We recommend you book your accommodation with free cancellation before 30 July 2020. After this date, cancellation terms apply and any unsold rooms will revert for sale to the general public and availability and rates will not be guaranteed.

Travel information

Avanti West Coast Discount for Conference Attendees

Attendees travelling on Avanti West Coast trains can benefit from the NEC Virgin Train Discount. To book with the 20% discount, please click here.

Complimentary parking is available for the conference attendees at the NEC. We will advise on which car park to use closer to the event. All car parks are approx. 15-minute walk from the NEC main entrance. A regular shuttle bus service also operates between the car parks and the main entrance to the NEC every 15 minutes.

We recommend you book your accommodation by 30 July 2020. After this date, any unsold rooms will revert for sale to the general public and availability and rates will not be guaranteed. 


Booking terms and conditions

Full payment is required at time of booking to confirm the reservation.

All cancellations must be received in writing at festival@pfsevents.org and will incur a £20.00 handling fee.
- up to 30 July 2020: a full refund will be given minus the £20.00 handling fee;
- from 31 July to 31 August 2020: a 50% refund will be given minus the £20.00 handling fee;
- from 1 September 2020: no refund will be given.

The Festival will be in Hall 4 at the NEC. The NEC is signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 and is just a few minutes away from Birmingham Airport by free and fast air-rail link. It's a 10-minute walk from Birmingham International Railway Station.

Attendance by PFS members at the Festival is offered free of charge. Food and beverage may be purchased by attendees from outlets at the venue.

Non-members can also attend the Festival, however if you have already attended more than one Personal Finance Society event, you will need to join the Personal Finance Society to attend (non-members may only attend a maximum of two events).


Cancellation Terms

Should you book your place and subsequently find you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible at festival@pfsevents.org.

If you cancel your place after 11:59pm on 19 October 2020, or fail to attend the event, the PFS No show policy will apply and you will be charged a £50.00 non-attendance fee.

Substitutions can be made at any time.

A variety of food outlets will be available at the Festival to cater for a wide range of tastes and requirements. It will be on a cash/card basis. Coffee and tea will be available free of charge for all attendees in the Festival hall.

To obtain your CPD hours please ensure you register your attendance on arrival each day. All theatre presentations qualify as unstructured CPD.

Your Attendance Certificate will be available when you log in to your My Events, on the PFS events website, after the event has finished.

Smart casual or just casual…. this is a Festival!

Not ready to call it a day? Stick around after the sessions on Tuesday 3 November. Drinks will be served in the evening and there will be entertainment laid on – very much in the Festival spirit. More information will follow soon.

The Festival programme will be announced soon on the website and on the event app.

Please note seating in the session theatres are available on a first come first served basis and it is not possible to reserve a place, so please make sure you allow plenty of time to arrive at theatres for sessions you really want to see.

Theatre presentations will be recorded and posted online after the event to allow delegates to view sessions that they missed live.

How do I join the PFS?

Simply sign up on the Personal Finance Society website – click on the link below to do so now.

Yes you can attend the festival, however please note that if you have already attended more than one Personal Finance Society event, you will need to join the Personal Finance Society to attend (non-members may only attend a maximum of two events).

Registration will take place in Hall 4. All participants should register on arrival. Detailed joining instructions will be sent to you before the event by separate email.

This event is very popular, please allow plenty of time to check in as there may be queues at peak times.

Registration desks will be open:

  • from 09:00am on Tuesday 3 November
  • from 07:30am on Wednesday 4 November

Please note registration times may change closer to the event, subject to the programme.

Once checked in, please wear your badge at all times when you are at the event, for security reasons and to gain access to the conference sessions. Lost or mislaid badges should be reported immediately to the registration desk.

 

Please help us by wearing your badge at all times and by not leaving unlabelled packages or luggage unattended. Delegates should note that they are responsible for their own belongings and that the conference organisers cannot accept any responsibility for lost items.
