Digital
1 hour
Ken Clark, Deputy Agent, North West Agency, Bank of England

We are pleased to invite you to our next Economic Update Webinar, where we will be joined by the Deputy Agent for the North West at the Bank of England and which will be hosted by Simon Drake FPFS.

** Please note the webinar will not be recorded**

This session will provide you with valuable insights into the Monetary Policy Committee’s latest decision on Bank Rate to be announced in November, and the Bank’s updated projections for GDP growth, inflation, and unemployment.

The Bank of England will explain how the MPC is interpreting recent economic data and discuss the key factors influencing their outlook. With inflation dynamics evolving, the labour market adjusting, and growth indicators shifting, this update will offer a timely perspective on the risks and considerations shaping UK monetary policy as we head into 2027.

Particular focus will be given to the balance between domestic inflationary pressures and the broader economic slowdown, the role of second-round effects, and how these are informing the Bank’s strategy for bringing inflation sustainably back to target.

Whether you’re managing client expectations or adjusting financial planning strategies, this webinar will equip you with the latest thinking from within the Bank of England to help guide your advice and decision-making.
