In this practical workshop, we’ll spend time finessing your first impression, asking great questions and learning to listen.

Please note - Up to 20 delegates for the morning and 20 delegates in the afternoon.

    

Finessing your First Meeting Overview:

First meetings are brimming with potential. A new relationship, new problems to solve and hopefully much reassurance to offer. But many financial advisers and planners misunderstand how trust is earned. This can lead to lower conversion rates and missed opportunities. In this practical workshop, we’ll spend time finessing your first impression, asking great questions and learning to listen.

 

Learning objectives - By the end of the half day workshop, you’ll be able to:

• Avoid the 5 common mistakes which lead to poor conversion

• Manage expectations so that you can have fruitful conversations

Recognise the 4 ingredients of trustworthiness

• Use techniques to settle people’s minds in the early stages of your meeting

Ask powerful questions which can help to demonstrate your value

• Listen to understand, not simply respond

 

7 Rules of Readability - Overview:

Financial advisers and paraplanners - ready for a readability refresher? Your number one job is to help clients make an informed decision. But to understand your advice, they have to read it. Therefore, your second job is to make your writing as readable as possible. Yet this is often an area in which many of you can struggle because you haven’t been shown how.

 

Learning objectives - By the end of the half day workshop, you’ll be able to:

• Adopt the right mindset for effective writing

• Apply the seven rules of readability

• Avoid common pitfalls which lead to writing being ignored

 

Please bring along some of your templated letters so that we can apply the rules to your documents.
